SHFT at the FRYE ART MUSEUM - a studio art program for teens

SHFT teen studio art program is a lively forum for learning through active engagement with contemporary and historic works of art. The workshops are taught by talented, working artists from the region.

Focusing on the creative process, self-expression, and experimentation, SHFT workshops combine traditional and new media with innovative practices in an environment where collaboration and creative authority are turned over to students.

Students will learn innovative ways of utilizing sampling concepts, popular in DJ culture, and experiment with a variety of creative processes to create their own artwork.

Students will also engage with the exhibitions, Dario Robleto: Alloy of Love and Heaven is Being a Memory to Others, which feature the work of contemporary artist Dario Robleto.
